Smart Buildings Summit 2018 Header

Smart Buildings Summit 2018 | 28 – 30 November 2018 | Swissotel Sydney | Sydney | Australia

At this year’s Smart Buildings Summit, we will be exploring how buildings and workplaces can become more effective for their users through digital technologies and processes. A two-day conference that focuses on the opportunities and challenges presented by Smart Buildings for developers, occupiers, owners and investors. The Smart Buildings Summit will take place on 28 – 30 November at the Swissôtel Sydney (68 Market St, Sydney NSW 2000, get directions > )

Why attend the Smart Buildings Summit?

Many buildings and other facilities are saddled with multiple poorly commissioned building sub-systems, voluminous operating manuals and procedures. This has led to inefficient work practices, higher use of resources, personnel and cost. Smart processes and user journeys, based on strong foundations and understandings of each individual’s movements, can drive large efficiencies in the workplace.

There are a number of options to unlock the potential of your building for your users. Operational Intelligence combines project management experience with business process engineering skills to determine the most efficient processes and systems to achieve superior business outcomes and work processes. By mapping out the user journey and understanding the current lifecycle of facilities, we develop the most efficient facility processes and systems at the lowest lifecycle costs that are practical and easy to use. Through optimisation of operations and equipment, changing operational patterns and managing and maintaining systems remotely, an increase in efficiency and profitability can become reality.

Come speak to our smart building experts at the Operational Intelligence Booth if you are interested in achieving superior business outcomes and maximising the efficiency and productivity of your user throughout their daily journey.

Our experts will also be leading a roundtable discussion on Smart Building and the value of the User Journey to maximise their workplace efficiency.

Workplace Strategy Summit 2018 Recap – Smart Work Environments

Operational Intelligence Team Members Daniel Wright and David Murray at Workplace Strategy Summit NSW 2018

The Latest in Achieving a Smart Workplace

Operational Intelligence would like to thank all those that attended the Workplace Strategy Summit 2018 on August 21-22 at the Sydney Cricket Ground, hosted by Forefront Events.

The Workplace Strategy Summit 2018 tackled some of the biggest issues driving workplace development, growth and success. Operational Intelligence was proud to come together with the industry’s established and emerging leaders, thought leaders and trendsetters to refresh thinking about the workplace environment and connect with peers. The Summit involved two days of cutting-edge sessions, including headline keynotes, expert panels, case studies and networking events.

Key Takeaways from the Workplace Strategy Summit 2018:

  • The future of work – a continually evolving landscape
  • Long-term property strategy – unsustainable strategies will not succeed
  • Collaboration across a flexible workplace – ensure success and adaptability
  • Ensuring experience is always front of mind – determining key decisions with a key driver in place
  • Attracting and retaining millennials – inclusive strategies needed

Day 1 of the Workplace Strategy Summit 2018 saw our Customer Insights & Innovations Manager, David Murray, lead a roundtable discussion. This discussion highlighted the importance of designing and delivering smart workplace environments that increased workplace efficiencies to result in better-satisfied employees, who work smarter, happier and better.

Invest in a Smart Workplace to Achieve Top-Line Growth

With competition rife amongst all sectors, workplace operations are at a tipping point. Workplaces are experiencing staff turnover at a greater rate – an unsustainable long-term strategy.

To create a sustainable workplace strategy you must transform workplace operations by developing strength in technology, culture, workplace design, leadership, automation, efficiencies, and knowledge.

As employee expectations become harder to meet, your thinking must extend beyond the normal environment considerations. Aside from upskilling workforces, empowering them, and exploring new labour models, the shift must go beyond to the workplace environment.

To attract and maintain the right talent, focus on delivering the best workplace experience based on daily interactions and efficiencies. For talent in the workplace, ‘time’ is an ongoing challenge. Enterprises must reimagine their operations, with automation and digital efficiencies (eg. AI) at the centre of their strategy. As automation becomes faster, smarter and quicker over time, you can also uncover other new revenue streams to fundamentally transform operations. Ease, effectiveness, and emotion are key drivers of great talent. Make this a cornerstone of your workplace experience strategy.

A Smart Strategy Underpins Transformative Workplace Environments

Creating a great workplace environment does not have to involve high costs. Instead, it could start from a simple reinvention of established technology, data, and operations — leveraging automation, data, and employees together to make operations more efficient.
The workplace must be agile enough to react to employees changing expectation. They need to put ‘smart’ at the core of their operations to combat staff turnover and maintain their talent through insight and analysis.
Through targeted workplace improvement strategies you will be able to increase the level of employee satisfaction. Operational Intelligence is committed to helping our clients build flexible and successful workplaces. If you have a vision for a smart workplace personalised strategy, discuss it with us and we will endeavour to make it happen. Our experts will create a package that suits your company objectives, get in touch with us today to start working on a smart solution for your business

Smart BIM Launch 2018

Smart BIM Launch

WEDNESDAY, MAY 9, 2018, SYDNEY, NSW

Smarten up your Spaces

Smart Buildings have never been smarter..

With technology advances happening faster than ever – it’s time to stop managing buildings in the traditional fashion, and start doing things drastically different.

Technological advances now represent an opportunity for workplaces, buildings and cities to create more efficiencies, reduce wasted time and grow higher margins. The Smart BIM Launch is the place to learn about this.

Integrated buildings have moved beyond simple SCADA level integration where extra low voltage systems’ (ELVS) such as Building Automation, Energy Management, Security andLighting are integrated on a common user interface. Nowadays, Smart Buildings don’t focus on brands and protocols and are vendor neutral at the system level.
True Smart Buildings interconnect people, processes and systems to optimise how a building is used and occupied. They move past simply managing maintenance, energy, comfort control, access control and EWIS, they automate human processes, they manage space utilisation, they intuitively reduce the operational waste within that building. Join us at our free “Smart BIM Launch” Seminar at Sofitel Sydney Darling Habour (right next door to the ARBS Exhibition) on Wednesday 9th May to learn how.

Discover how to enhance building performance, better manage portfolio risk and liquidity, transform the tenant and user experience and create new revenue streams through BIM.

Understand the right tools to better plan, design, construct, and manage buildings and infrastructure.

Learn how to access and analyse the right data to save on building energy consumption, time and money, through open platform systems that remove the common headaches aligned with integrating new systems with existing ones.

At the ‘Smart BIM Launch’ Sessions for building and facility managers, developers, consultants at all levels, you’ll hear:

WHY conventional building management may be sabotaging your efficiency, success and profitability

WHAT Smart Building Information Modelling (BIM) means for your building and operations and how to use it to better your building and those tenants that work or live within it

HOW BIM has already worked to successfully advance others with a different strategy approach

WHO IT’S FOR

The Smart BIM Launch is the event for everyone wanting to learn how to use and generate value from building spaces through digital technologies and real-time data.
